Robert Shane Bolden passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, in Longview, Texas. Born on December 1, 1974, in Lone Star, Texas, Shane was the beloved son of Robert John Bolden and Kathy “Kay” Bolden.

Shane grew up with a bold spirit and a love for life’s simple pleasures. In his younger years, he was outgoing and full of energy, often found with music playing—classic rock, heavy metal, and country music were his favorites. A true outdoorsman at heart, he was an avid hunter and fisherman who found peace in the woods and waters of East Texas. He also had a passion for cooking, especially when it came to BBQ, and never missed a chance to fire up the grill for family and friends.

Shane was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed riding the back roads with friends, soaking in the freedom and fellowship those drives brought. Camping under the Texas sky was one of his favorite ways to unwind and connect with nature.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert John Bolden. Shane is survived by his daughter, Alyssa Bolden; his cherished granddaughter, Serenity; his mother, Kay Bolden of Daingerfield; and his three sisters: Christi Roberts, Tiffany Bolden, and Lacey Bolden. He is also remembered fondly by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends whose lives he touched.

Shane will be remembered for his kind heart, his love for the outdoors, and the joy he brought to those around him. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the meals remembered, and the music played loud.
