Roger Dale Eaves, 75, of Linden passed away Thursday July 9, 2015. Mr. Eaves was born September 9, 1939 in New Colony, TX to Burl Eaves and Alene Jones Eaves. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy and was a welder. He is survived by two sons, Roger Dale Eaves II of Bloomburg, TX, Jonathan Dayton Eaves and Lacey of Queen City, TX; one brother and sister-in-law, Windel Eaves and wife Shirley of Lake Jackson, TX; one sister and brother in law, Sandra Gale Watkins and husband Frank of Texarkana, TX; special friends, Cindy Calloway and Freda Hodgkinson; six grandchildren, Hailey Brooke Eaves, Roger Eaves III, Wyatt Eaves, Alyssa Marie Eaves, Treasure DaShay Eaves, Annaleigh Neville and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Burl Franklin and Alene Eaves and one brother, Kenneth Lawrence Eaves. Services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 13, 2015 at the New Colony Baptist Church with Bro. T.J. Bolt officiating. Burial to follow in the New Colony Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. The family will receive friends from 6:00 till 8:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
