Matthew Ryan Dudley, age 42, passed away on March 18, 2025, at a hospital in Tyler after a courageous battle with cancer. His unwavering strength and resilience were an inspiration to all who knew him.

Born on September 13, 1982, weighing just 2 lbs 10 oz, Matthew quickly proved he was a fighter. He grew into an energetic and lively youngster, full of curiosity and mischief. As he matured, his compassionate nature blossomed, and he became known for his kindness and loyalty.

After graduating from Linden-Kildare High School, Matthew began his career at Courtney Construction. He later transitioned to the oil field, where he worked diligently to provide for his beloved wife, Kim. Their 17 years of marriage were marked by enduring love and unwavering support. When he wasn’t working, Matthew found joy in the simple pleasures of life — spending time at home with Kim or immersing himself in his favorite PlayStation games.

Though he was often quiet and private, Matthew had a heart of gold. His compassion for others grew stronger with age, and he would go to great lengths to protect and defend his loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard Cromer, Tom and Mae Don Dudley; his beloved “uncle” Rodney Morgan, and aunt, Ann Chandler.

Matthew is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Kim Dudley; parents, Tommy and Gail Dudley; brother, Aaron Dudley; and sister, Anna Dudley. He is also remembered by his brother-in-law, Kelly Pierce, and wife Shawna; his grandmother, Joyce Cole; nieces, Hailey and Kayla Pierce; great-nephew, Axel; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends. His memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation in his memory on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
