On September 2, 2013 Marvin Gill, 62, wonderful husband, Daddy, PawPaw, and brother, went to heaven. He is survived by his wife, Cindy; daughter and her husband, Jolene and Tom Atkinson; stepson and his wife, Brain and April Mays; five grandchildren Clayton Gill, Charlie Gill, Adrian Mays, Bryston Mays, and Naomi Mays; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Kim Organ; one brother and sister-in-law, Pete and Patti Ritter; father-in-law, Wilfred Franke; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Violet Gill; one son Clayton Gill; and one brother, Bradley Gill. Marvin loved to fish. He spent many summers fishing on Lake O the Pines with his wife and grandson. He also loved music. He spent many hours in his shop listening to music and playing pool with his friends. He was self employed as a welder and was well known for the smokers and pistol smokers that he made. Special thanks to my brother-in-law, Kim, for everything he did. Special thanks to Dr. Carl Earnest, Dr. Kavita Nirmal, Texas Oncology, and Texas Home Health Hospice. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Cedar Springs Baptist Church, in Ore City. Services are under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.
