January 23, 1962 ~ April 5, 2025

Born in: Dallas, Texas
Resided in: Mineola, Texas

John David Keasler, age 63, of Mineola, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on April 5, 2025, at a hospital in Tyler. Born on January 23, 1962, in Dallas, Texas, John was the son of James Davis and Charlotte Keasler. A tender and kindhearted man, John had a quiet strength and a bit of a stubborn streak. These traits made him both dependable and uniquely himself.

He was a devoted family man, and nothing brought him more joy than his granddaughters, Dani and Jocie, who were the light of his life. He poured his heart into everything he did for them and found his greatest purpose in being their grandfather.

A talented craftsman, John owned and operated a furniture refinishing business and was truly a master of his trade. In retirement, he continued to enjoy the things he loved mostβ€”collecting firearms, spending time outdoors, and fishing. A man of faith, John was a Christian who loved God and carried his beliefs quietly but deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his cousin, Rusty Keasler; and his uncles, Thomas and Russell Keasler.

John is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jared Dylan and Tonya Keasler of Mineola; granddaughters, Dani and Jocie Keasler; his sister, Jamie Keasler of Wylie, Texas; along with a host of extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Burial will follow at Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.
