James Jim Wooten, 75, of Linden, passed away, Tuesday, February 17, 2015. Mr. Wooten was born April 10, 1939 in Bassett, Tx to Dillard Wooten and Gaye Tinsley. Jim served his country proudly in the US Army and was a Korean War Veteran. He was also a master plumber and a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Janet Wooten; two sons, James Johnston (Angie) of Linden, Stanley Johnston of Texarkana; two daughters, Vickey Arrendale (Tim) of Snyder, Tx., Yolanda Oney (Terry) of Jefferson, Tx.; one brother, Bobby Lyn Wooten of Pineville, La.; one sister, Elizabeth Triche (Sherman) of Pineville, La.; fifteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; special friend, Dr. Samuel Patel and the nurses at St. Michaels Hospital Cancer Center. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Virginia Lee Services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 20, 2015 at Pinecrest Baptist Church with Bro. Bryan Baggett officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday evening at the funeral home.
