Charles Page

December 25, 1946 ~ February 18, 2024

Resided in: Hughes Springs , Texas

Charles Frederick Page was born December 25, 1946 in Silsbee, Texas. Charles passed from this life surrounded by his family on February 18, 2024. Charles joined the Navy in his teens, and proudly served in Vietnam. Before joining the Navy Charles completed barber school in Beaumont. When he returned, he continued to worked as a barber for 60 years in Hughes Springs. Charles was famous for his $5 haircuts! People traveled from all over to sit in his chair. He loved being outdoors on one of his motorcycles, driving one of old antique cars, or his beautiful Corvette. He was a huge supporter of the FFA, trade schools, and was a philanthropist at heart. His desire to help others was above and beyond what anyone could ask for. He has been a rock to so many, a master at sarcastic humor and witty timing to others. He could be a glorious pain in the neck, to what I’m sure is a small select few (because no matter what happened between you, once you were marked as important to him, he’d be by your side if you needed him). Charles wore many titles but by far the best was being a grandfather. The love for his grandchildren was unwavering, he was so proud of each of them. The town of Hughes Springs will never be the same without him running around spreading his happiness and seeing his sweet smile everyday.

Charles is survived by his wife, Jo Page; son and daughter-in-law, William and Lindsay Page; son and daughter-in-law, Shay and Diane Black; daughter and son-in-law, Cari and Shaun Roberts; grandchildren, Brianna Page and fiancΓ© Clayton Graef, Graci Page, Mason Page, Wesley Black, Michael Black, Hayden Roberts, Callie Sweeney, Katherine Sweeney, Caylen Roberts, and Tessa Roberts; brother-in-law, Robert Reed and wife Terry; sister-in-law, Kathy Echelmeyer; close family friends, Autumn Walker; Michael Walker (who introduced Charles to his new wife Jo); as well as a host of beloved customers and friends.

Services for Mr. Charles Page will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2024 at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests you consider a memorial donation to the Charles Page FFA Scholarship at Hughes Springs First National Bank.
