Bobby Joe Hamilton Bobby Joe Hamilton, 80, of Linden passed away September 18, 2013 in a Linden hospital. Mr. Hamilton was born August 23, 1933 in Linden, to Robert and Pearl Surratt Hamilton. Bobby was an engineer at Morton-Thiokol and served in the Army National Guard. He is survived by his wife of 59 years; Martha Yates Hamilton of Linden; two sons, Joe Hamilton and his wife Gena, of Linden and Jeff Hamilton and his wife Letitia, of Nacogdoches; two grandchildren, Cameron Robert Hamilton, of Longview, Chandler Ray Hamilton, of Nacogdoches; three step-grandchildren, Anthony Potts, of Hooks, Maranda Derrick, of Red Lick, and Tessa Duhon, of Hooks; six step-great granddaughters; one sister in law, Sally Hamilton, of Marshall; nieces and nephews and their families, Mike Hamilton, Phil Hamilton, Suzanne Hamilton Turner, Renaye Allen, Leisa Churchman, LeAnn Trim, Brian Cave, and Levi McDuff ; as well as numerous adopted children, and friends. Mr. Hamilton was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Pearl Hamilton; one brother Curtis Hamilton; one sister, Lynda McDuff; and father and mother in law, M.P. and Cecil Yates. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Linden and burial will follow in Linden Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials to be made to Mexico Mission Fund in care of First Baptist Church, Linden, Texas.
