Allean T Mimms

She graduated from J.J. Rhodes High School of Daingerfield, TX and A Wichita Falls, TX Beauty School.
She was baptized at an early age at Green Street Church of Christ. She continued her relationship with the Lord at Welch Street Church of Christ in Wichita Falls, TX until her health failed. She was an active member of the Ladies Chorus in which they recorded several albums and CDs.
Allean loved to cook and entertain the children of the family. She always had a smile on her face and loved coming home to visit her Mother and other family members. She also was very active in Social Teas in the community of Wichita Falls, TX, as well as a member of the Democratic Womens Club also the Wichita Falls, TX Chapter. Allean worked at the Wichita Country Club ten years. She then worked and retired from the Sheppard Bowling Alley. She loved bowling and enjoyed traveling with her friends to bowling tournaments. She even bowled in Canada tournaments. She received several trophies in her bowling.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her Husband of 55 years Paul L. Mimms, two sons Kenneth V. Young and Paul E. Mimms, two sisters Hattie R. Younger and D. Marie Thomas.
She leaves memories of love with her three Daughters Debra Mitchell of Arlington, TX, Patricia Smith of Fort Worth, TX and Rozalyn (Harold) Walker of Gilmer, TX four sisters Ozie Young of Dallas, TX, Bonnie (Alfred) Murrell, Oklahoma City, OK, Evelyn (Charles) Williams of Omaha, TX and Ellen (Reginald) of Oklahoma City, OK, three brothers John Rodgers Of Lonestar, TX, Paul (Delores) Rodgers of Houston, TX. And Calvin (Margie) Rodgers of Houston, TX. Special Nephew William (Janet) Chism of Lonestar, TX 14 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grand Children and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren and a host of in-laws, family and friends.
Services for Ms. Mimms, will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Mt. Mitchell Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Reynolds Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Ms. Mimms will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
