Charles "Chuck" Shaw

October 28, 1959 ~ July 7, 2014
Kris and Amy genuinely care about what they do. They helped our family so very much with the passing of our mother. Quality people performing at such an elevated level.
Kris and Reeder-Davis were a huge help during a very difficult time. They were compassionate, patient and determined to make our funeral arrangements as comfortable and stress-free as possible. I would recommend them to anyone needing a caring and understanding presence.
Making my Momβs arrangements was one of the hardest things to do. But, Kris, Amy and the rest of the staff were amazing through it all.
I could not have asked for a better group of people to help me during this very rough time.
They are exceptional !!!

A very well kept establishment as well as very kind people. They make you feel welcome, cared for, and like you have a family outside of family.
The staff here becomes family. They are incredibly supportive and make sure everything is perfect! There is no better place!
When my 52 year old younger sister passed away we couldn't have fathomed the grief her 15 year old would be going through. She wanted to be involved in her mom's service planning Reeder-Davis employees were very patient and listened to her every wish. For that I am most grateful. Thank you for the services you provide our small community...we are blessed to have you as part of our town.
The best in the area!

Very kind and compassionate people.
Years ago my parents made the decision that when their time came they wanted Reeder Davis to handle their burial services, So as hard as it is to lose your parents their time to go did come and when it did, We relied on Reeder Davis to help our family through the arrangements that needed to be made and all I can say is their commitment, compassion and their understanding made such a difficult process much easier. Our funeral director Amy, from our first meeting to our last was so kind, She shared in our laughter of funny memories and she shared in our tears seeing our grief. My sister suddenly passed away a month after my dad and again, Kris and Amy were there to help us and we were so grateful. Kris, Thank you for the care you gave to us and for being so kind and thoughtful. I will never forget everything that all of you did for my family .
Reeder handled my father in laws services and did it with so much compassion. We were at a loss with what to do first and Amy was amazing at guiding us. They treated us just like family and we will always be grateful for that.
For such as sad occasion we could not have asked for any better. The facilities were great, the staff very caring. Everyone did everything possible to make this the best experience possible. Even the slideshow had a personal touch that was initiated by the staff. I am so very grateful for the care and services we received.

Kind, caring folks that truly understand the grief you bear, and help you move forward in what is a difficult situation that we all have or will experience.
They took excellent care of both my mother and father. My wife and I have already prearranged our funerals with them. They are the best.

From the time they picked up my wife from the hospital and then through the entire process and even today, they have remained friendly, courteous, and most helpful with all our needs. Working with our insurance, planning the service, providing helpful suggestions, and taking care of tiny details we had not thought Reeder-Davis Funeral Home was wonderful, and Mary was so professional, one of the best. Their care made our loss a little easier to bear. Thank you so much, James Bynum & Family
I just want to thank the staff at Reeder Davis for handling my mothersβs final arrangements beautifully. Kris was extremely compassionate and helpful throughout this untimely and unexpected event. Everything was flawless and exactly how my mother would have wanted her final wishes carried out. Planning a funeral is never easy but it definitely helps when your loved one is in the care of caring and professional hands. Thank you π Shawna
I have seen personally, the Reeder Davis Family treats your loved ones with as much love and respect as you would. What more could we ask? Thank you RD for your devotion to making the worst days easier.

These people are the greatest. They have always made me feel like family. Thank y'all for being so wonderful. God bless y'all
I have never had a bad experience at RD, from making programs for our church or giving advice in whatever way they can.
The McKinney, The McCain, & The Hill Families would like to sincerely thank the staff at Reeder Davis in Hughes Springs for the excellent services they provided to us in the death of our Mama, Dorothy McKinney. Mary went above & beyond in helping us to prepare our Mama for visitation. Amy helped us in each & every need that we had. You could not ask for a kinder man at the cemetery than Wayne. To each person that helped, we appreciate ALL that you did... Thank you, again!
It has the most comfortable feel about it. Everyone treats you like you are family and have so much compassion and empathy . I love Amy & Kris and all of the others also.
Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. in Linden and Chris were there for me and my family when Keith passed away. Chris is so caring and thoughtful and was able to help me make it through the entire process of caring for Keith and my family until the final burial. He made the journey of death so much easier by his respect for our needs and his compassion for our pain and sorrow. I have known his staff for a long time and they also helped lighten our sorrow by their outpouring of love and compassion. Reeder-Davis also took care of my precious mom when she passed away three years after Keith. I still hug Chris and thank him whenever I can for helping me through losing loved ones.

I do not know your kids but I want you to know that I pray for ALL of Chucks kids, grandchildren and you as well. I pray God comforts you in this time and that you can find peace thru him. My husband Ronnie would call and talk to Chuck every now and again to just say hi or talk about motorcycles I'm sure, I got to see Chuck a couple weeks ago, I did not get to talk to him but it was nice just to see his face again. If there is anything my family can do to help ease your pain please just let us know.

Mr Charles and Mrs Dot, I am so sorry for the pain you are going through. I remember Chuck as a good friend to me when we were in high school. He was one of the sweetest guys I knew and he was always there to help out if anyone needed help. I will be praying for you and his family as you go through this dark time. God is the only strength and comfort that will see you through. I know from experience, because I have been thru the dark valley you are walking through now. Again, my prayers will be with you in the days, weeks and months ahead. Love and prayer, Bobbie Ann Wellborn Haygood
We are so sorry for your loss. God is good and will hold him in his tender care.
I am very sorry for the recent loss of your loved one, Charles Shaw. I have a brief encouraging message that I would like to share with you from God's Word, the Bible. The Bible can be a great source of both comfort & hope during this most difficult time in your lives. For example, at Revela- tion 21:3-5 it assures us that the day is soon coming when our most loving Heavenly Father is going to wipe away the tears of sorrow from our eyes forever and that even pain & death will be no more. I hope after reading this it will be of some comfort to each one of you. If later you would like to learn more from the Bible about why we die or why does a loving God allow so much suffering & injustice, please feel free to go to the website: http://www.jw.org to find satisfying answers.
I WILL MISS LOVE YOU ALWAYS BROTHER. IF THERE IS ANYTHING THAT I CAN DO FOR YOU ALL, DONT HESITATE.MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY,GOOD BYE MY FRIEND, UNTIL I SEE YOU AGAIN. REST IN PEACE
Our prayers have been with you and you will remain in our thoughts. He was such a sweet man and he never met a stranger.May God hold you close.
So sorry. May peace and comfort be with all of you.
Chuck's family and friends, we are sorry for your loss. Jesus said Happy are those who mourn, since they will be comforted (Matthew 5:4). We are also told Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. . . (John 5:28, 29) May you find these and other Bible promises beneficial now and always.
